Ani Difranco

Angela Maria Ani DiFranco, is a singer-songwriter and Canadian American. Her work has been released on over 20 albums. DiFranco's music is classified as folk and alternative rock, but it also has influences of hip-hop and jazz. Ani DiFranco is widely recognized as a feminist icon, and Grammy-winning performer, is regarded as to be the father of DIY music. She was among the first musicians to start her own label in the year 1990. DiFranco is the daughter of Elizabeth (Ross), and Dante Americo DiFranco. They came together in the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Her father was Italian heritage and her mother was originally from Montreal. Ani DiFranco sang and wrote 32 Flavors. It is a track from her album from 1995 Not a Pretty Girl, that was her sixth studio album. This track appears on the film's soundtrack the Canadian romance film Better Than Chocolate from 1999. In 2013 DiFranco apologized when it was revealed that she was hosting an event for three days at a former Louisiana slavery plantation. The course was postponed, however, she did not express any regret. DiFranco apologized for her actions days later. She's known for her Little Folksinger style, but she's worked with many artists and different genres, including Pete Seeger to Chuck D. She lives in New Orleans. Ani diFranco along with Kristen Ford are together. She began writing songs at the age of fourteen. She performed them in caf s and bars through her teenage years. DiFranco was a graduate at age 16, at the age of 16, from Buffalo Academy for Visual and Performing Arts High School in the year 2000, started taking classes at Buffalo State College. Ani's new baritone was a custom Alvarez guitar, designed by Chrys Johnston who at that time was the Alvarez Artist Representative. It's equipped with the System 600 preamp is on the instrument. It comes with a mahogany-topped top and back with an ebony fingerboard. DiFranco is living at home in New Orleans with her husband, two children and Lefty the long-legged pup who wanders into and out of our view during conversations. DiFranco currently thirty years into her career admits that looking back on the past has left her with mixed feelings. Ani DiFranco, music producer and writer who was just 25 when she debuted her seventh album Not A Pretty Girl and achieved even more success in her fans with Dilate. The 1972 pop-rock song Brandy (You're a beautiful girl) was written by the American band Looking Glass for their debut album Looking Glass. Elliot Lurie, the lead guitarist of Looking Glass and co-vocalist wrote it. Its conclusion explained in the song Do Ani & Luke tie the knot? Ani and Luke aren't married.
