
Sadoski began his award-winning stage career as the understudy for Mark Ruffalo and Mark Rosenthal in the Off-Broadway productions of Kenneth Lonergan's critically reviewed production This is Our Youth at the Second Stage Theatre. This was the beginning of many productions for the theatre company based in New York. He has appeared in numerous Off-broadway as well as Broadway productions. He also was a part of various regional theatre productions. In 2008, he performed the role of Greg in Neil LaBute's production of reasons to be pretty for MCC Theatre alongside The Newsroom co-star Alison Pill. The play was highly acclaimed Off-Broadway performance that sold out. In April 2009, it moved to Broadway and received three Tony Award nominations: Best actor: Sadoski; Best Actress: Marin Ireland; Best Play and three Drama Desk Award nominations: Best actor Best Director Terry Kinney and Best actor. Sixteen Neil LaBute credits Sadoski for inciting the widely-praised change in tone in reasons to be attractive from the playwright's earlier works by saying: "His own thoughtfulness and good heart helped me to not fall back on anything that I had done prior to that. My plays always conclude in a dark spot. He helped me see other colors in the color palette. I believed that to be also true in real life. He was the original Trip Wyeth character in Jon Robin Baitz's Other Desert Cities, for which he was honored with an Obie Award (and a Lucille Lortel Award). The Outer Critics Circle named the production Outstanding New Off-Broadway Performer in 2011. Sadoski was also seen on Broadway with Ben Stiller and Edie Falco.
