
Bellamy Young (born Amy Maria Young born on February 19, 1970)[1She is an American actress, producer and vocalist, who is most famous for her performance as Melody "Mellie" Grant in the ABC drama series Scandal (2012-2018). She received her 2014 Critics'' Choice Television Award for the best actress supporting in a drama series. In 2019, she was a part of the cast as Prodigal Son on Fox. Young began her career as an actress in the theater. Her Broadway debut came in 1997 when she played Mary The Life. The Life. The Off-Broadway roles include in Stephen Sondheim's Merrily We Rock Along (1994) as well as Randy Newman's Faust (1995-1996). Her TV debut was in the role of Dr. Courtney Evans in 1995 on the NBC soap opera Another World soap opera. She appeared in the show Law & Order in 1997 and 1998 in two roles. The actress made her film debut in 1999 , playing a small performance in Black and White, a crime-drama. She later appeared on various independent movies. She began guest-starring on a variety of TV dramas and comedy series in the early 2000s. They included The Drew Carey Show and The X Files. Young has appeared in more than thirty television shows between 2000 and 2011.
